A Dodgers Game with the Kids
Hello!
This past weekend, to celebrate my daughter's birthday, we finally went to the Dodgers game I'd been looking forward to for ages!
This time I was flying solo with the kids, but a wonderful mom friend came along with us, and I was so grateful…!
Taking the kids to the stadium was nerve-wracking, but I'll cut to the chase: it turned into the best memory.

Feeling like the star of the show! A shower of “congratulations” and a lovely perk
Since it was her special day, I sent my daughter into the game decked out in a birthday hat and sash!
It was the perfect call — so many people we passed called out “Happy Birthday! 🎉”, and she looked delighted, if a little bashful (haha).
On top of that, a staff member at the stadium let us in on a great tip.
We headed straight over and managed to snag a cute pin badge!

“At the customer service center, anyone can get a pin badge while supplies last. So just ask a staff member and be sure to grab one!”
It also happened to be Roki Sasaki bobblehead day! We got one of those too, and the Dodgers won handily — the best possible scenario.
Stadium food is pricey!? Our smart bring-your-own strategy
We bought takoyaki and lemonade at the stadium, but…
the prices are, well, on the steep side 😅 (your wallet will get a shock).
So this time I put together a “bare-minimum, carefully curated packing list” to clear the stadium's strict rules (the required clear bag) while staying comfortable without lugging extra stuff!

- Food we stocked up on (this time from H-mart)
- Bottled water (enough for everyone)
- Ziplock bags (great for leftovers or as a trash bag)
- Wet wipes (a must when taking kids to a game)
- Sunscreen (essential for a daytime game)
💡 A trick to avoid extra luggage
Don't pack a bulky jacket in your bag — wear it or tie it around your waist instead!
That's a smart way to save room in your bag 😂
This time we stocked up at H-mart.
We grabbed things the kids love, like roasted sweet potatoes, yakitori bento, and fried chicken (karaage).
When we spread it all out and ate inside the stadium, it was a huge hit!
The locals around us gave us envious looks and called out, “Whooo! Looks so good!!” (haha).
Wrap-up
Thanks in large part to my mom friend's support, we watched the game comfortably and had a great time, with no mishaps.
For a weekend outing in LA or a special-day event, I really recommend a Dodgers game!
